This game is really simple all you have to do is get a hammer with the right multiple. If you get it correct it will give you another and another until it’s in smaller value. I would only wish that Mrs Ramkolowan give us harder work on Prime Factors.

Method/Procedure

1.  Draw parallel lines on the corner of the sheet of paper.

2.  Put the sharp part of the compass on the mark an ark, do the same thing to all the sides.

3. Measure and draw lines from each point.

4. Place the compass on the top of the triangle and go around.

Hieroglyphics

1. The word hieroglyphics means ‘Sacred carving’ in Greek.

2.The Early rulers of Egypt couldn’t read or write. So they depended on their scribes to read and write for them.

3. Numbers in hieroglyphs were later developed to calculate mathematical problems.

4. Hieroglyphics is mainly written in pictures or symbols.

5. Only 1% of the ancient egyptian population could read or write.

Scribes

1. The scribes’ main tool is called kalamos. This tool was made from six inch reed.

2. Ancient scribes used many colour inks from plants and minerals.

3. The scribes wrote while standing or kneeling. It wasn’t until 2000 BC that the scribes used the desks.

Papyrus

1. Papyrus was the first example of paper the scribes used instead of clay tablets. The clay was hard to transport and hard to write.

2. The papyrus was dated from 3000 BC, about the Egyptians began to write.

3. In  Egyptian, papyrus meant ‘Property of Pharaoh’.

Walt: use our emotions to describe playing sport.

When school was nearly finished, I was so nervous about the netball game. So nervous that me insides was turning inside out.  I began to feel a little sick.  All those underestimated comments from other students didn't help. Right now school just finished, all I'm feeling is tingling through my limbs. Everyone in my team was very confident including Britney and Mary.  When the game was only minutes away, we were shooting. I didn’t bother because we were going to lose anyway. After a few shoots in, I began to get confidence. During the game I gained heaps of confidence and self esteem. The mood of netball remained.

Dabir the Donkey

Dabir the Donkey

In the beginning Dabir and his master had just stopped in Egypt. Dabir held loads of dates. When his master unloaded all the dates, Dabir  kicked a rock on the beehive and it burst open.  The bees were not happy with this and that is how the problem began.

While the bees were chasing Dabir, he ran around the pyramids. After  a few minutes the bees didn’t care and went back to their hive. After that it led to another problem. Not far from him, there were camels lying in the sun. Dabir started kicking sand on the camels’ eyes. The camels were started to get really fed up with Dabir and chased him Dabir ran around the pyramids seven times. But after a few minutes the camels did not care anymore and went back to lying in the hot sun. Later on it led to a further problem.  He felt bored and not far from him were some lazy crocodiles. So he just went and stood all over them. The first couple of times the crocodiles ignored it, but when kept on stepping on over them they got fed up and chased him. Dabir ran towards the steps on the pyramid, when he reached the top he noticed that the crocodile wasn’t behind him. He didn’t get all he wanted was to fun, but all he did was annoy everyone.

At the end, Dabir was so tired that when master loaded him up again, he fell flat the ground. The master pulled the rope tied to Dabir’s neck , he pulled three times. But Dabir ran and all the goods fell off him. The master got angry

Coordinates

Walt: learn coordinates

The first thing I do is look for the x axis. The x axis is the horizontal line. Next for y axis, it a vertical line. On the x axis I look for -3, after that on the y axis I -2. This was pretty easy. What I would like to learn next is find the coordinates for large integers.

Inequalities with decimals

I’m learning  inequalities with decimals. The easy part is what number is the crocodile going to eat. It would be 0.99 that the crocodile is going to eat. The crocodile always eats the big number. Nothing was difficult about this problem. I think Mrs. Ramkolowan  should set more difficult problems on this particular section of decimals so I can get better at it. Now that I’m a year 8 I should learn what the  signs mean in Mathematics.  < means less than and > means greater than.

Statuette of Isis is an ancient Egyptian Myth

The characters are Ra, the sun god and Isis, a clever god. Ra had the power to create almost everything that existed today. Isis was jealous of Ra and his powers. She wanted it all for herself. So one day when Ra drooled Isis gathered it and created a serpent. By making this serpent herself Ra had no control of it. When Ra was walking up a flight of steps going towards the sun, the serpent stung him. By having not creating this beast Ra had no control of it. Isis had a cure for him but only if Ra told his secrets of his magic, Ra had no choice. So Ra transmitted the great magic to Isis’s heart.

My island of paradise

My island of paradise

If I had an island of paradise I would obviously have a relaxing resort. My island would have to be big for like 10 people. My friends will be on my island and celebrities.

Also there would be a very special zoo. In it would be some monkeys, gorillas, zebras, gazelles. If you’re one of my specials friends they will even feed the animals, if they want to. They will be some blue whales and tropical fish, all deep the sea animals. We will even swim with the dolphins.

One part of the island will be a fill of science laboratories. I love human body science, it’s so fascinating. They bits of brains, bottles of blood, bins full of hearts. Everyone will finding cures for diseases. Every single person will study the human body.

The last part of the island would music studios. The celebrities would be creating music. Music would surround the air. And disco halls where every night will a musical one.
